About Me

I am originally from Port Huron, Michigan. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resource Management from Central Michigan University, a Master of Science in Wildlife, Fisheries and Aquaculture from Mississippi State University, and a Ph.D. in Natural Resource Ecology and Management from Oklahoma State University. I will soon begin a Postdoctoral Associate position at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, where I will work with Dr. Andrew Stillman and Dr. Olivia Sanderfoot to examine the impacts of wildfire smoke on birds across North America. Using large-scale datasets from eBird Status and Trends, Project FeederWatch, and BirdCast, my research will investigate questions related to smoke exposure, migration, and avian responses to wildfire smoke. This work closely aligns with my broader research interests in global change ecology and avian conservation.
 

Outside of academia, I enjoy running, gardening, thrifting, cooking, and spending time with family, friends, and my cat.
